Five Things You Need to Know Today, Dec. 16

1. Now that we are a couple games into the winter season Patch is implementing a Mustangs scoreboard! Watch your favorite team's progress here throughout the season! 2. Perks will be hosting pop and indie singer/songwriter Will Gattis tonight at 8:30 p.m. Gattis self-desribes his music as "the hypothetical result of Ben Folds sitting next to Freddie Mercury in a philosophy class taught by Paul McCartney." 3. Starting tomorrow, Norwood High Drama will be putting on "A Christmas Carol" at the Savage Center. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for students and seniors. 4. Fundraiser Unites Kids with Their Favorite Stars

Buzz Lightyear, Disney Princesses and more stopped by the Coakley Middle School for breakfast Saturday morning.

The Coakley Middle School cafeteria was turned into a child's dream Saturday morning, as the students from the Norwood Backstage Boosters brought back Breakfast with the Stars.  Woody, Buzz, Cinderella and more signed autographs, posed for pictures and even danced with the children. Kids and parents enjoyed a light breakfast donated by Roche Brothers while interacting with their favorite characters. All proceeds from the Backstage Boosters fundraiser directly support the Norwood drama programs. Jack and Linda McCarthy of the Backstage Boosters said they would especially like to thank Cheryl Germano of Escada Hair and Beauty Salon for opening her shop this morning to help princesses get ready for the event.
