Norwood Police Respond to Storm-Related Calls
Police received 40 calls Monday for hazards related to Hurricane Sandy.
Norwood Police responded to 40 storm-related calls Monday, police spokesman Kevin Grasso said in an email Tuesday morning. "We do know that several residents had suffered some property damage from fallen trees or tree limbs on to their homes and/or vehicles," Grasso said. "To the best of our knowledge there were no storm-related injuries reported." According to Grasso there were 10 calls Monday reporting wires down, 16 reporting road hazards and four reporting issues with traffic lights. "Some of the road hazard and wires down calls were due to trees or branches down," he said. "Several road hazards were for street flooding. The traffic light issues were related to power outage."
