A Patch summary of the articles being voted on this evening.
Lengthy discussion of several articles forced Thursday's town meeting to be continued, and the remaining items will be discussed tonight at the Norwood High School at 7:30 p.m. Here's a brief summary of tonight's agenda: Article 13: The Library Board of Trustees is seeking appropriation of $21,782 for wage and salary increases for library employees. Article 14: This article calls for approval of the arbitration panel's decision to award a total of $205,000 to the Norwood Police Department in retroactive and forward expenses. In …

This is the 17th year for Food for Fines, according to April Cushing at the library reference desk. She said the program may have started before that, but 1993 is the first year the November event was advertised and on record. While the launch of Norwood Patch is really the most exciting thing in town today, there is in fact more.
1. There will be no Board of Selectmen meeting this evening. The weekly meetings will resume next week, Nov. 30. Check Patch for updates and details from last week's meeting. 2. Registration is still open for Winter Classes at the Recreation Department. You can register in person at the Civic, or online at www.norwoodrecreation.com. Classes start Monday, Nov. 29. 3. While reading the dictionary is one effective way to improve your vocabulary, the Morrill Memorial Library provides Norwood with another, more social option - Scrabble night. Adults can join in the fun at 6:30pm every Tuesday, completely free and no registration required. There's also a student Scrabble club that starts at 7:00pm. 4. Coakley Middle School's parent/teacher …
