Norwood Man Arrested in Boston Gang Member Sting

Thirty gang members were arrested in Dorchester and Roxbury early Thursday morning as part of a large-scale collaborative investigation into the violence and distribution of drugs the area.

Thirty Boston gang members - including a 30-year-old Norwood man - were arrested and charged Thursday in Operation Concord, a large-scale collaborative investigation into violence and distribution of drugs by the Woodward Avenue and Hendry Street gangs and their associates who terrorized the residents in Bowdoin-Geneva section of Dorchester and the Uphams Corner section of Roxbury, a release from the U.S. District Attorney's office said. Over 300 federal, state and local law enforcement officers were involved in the operation. “This community has been in desperate need of reprieve from the violence. Norwood Man Arrested for Distribution of Adderall in Home Depot Parking Lot

The following information is provided by the Boston Police Department, and where charges are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

Undercover Boston Police arrested a Norwood man for allegedly distributing prescription medication in the Home Depot parking lot in West Roxbury. One Nov. 7 around 4:57 p.m., Alain Barbara, of 565 Pleasant St., Norwood, was arrested and charged with distribution of a class C drug, Adderall.  Members of the Boston Police District E-5/E-18 Drug Control Unit in the Home Depot parking lot, a known place for drug transactions, according to a Boston Police report. Police saw one vehicle parked in the farthest spot from the store when there were plenty of other spots closer to the store. Norwood Man Charged With Possession of Pills in Boston

Boston Police arrested a Norwood man on Saturday and charged him with possession of a class B substance on the corner of Harrison and Massachusetts Avenue.

Boston Police responding to Massachusetts Avenue for a fist fight on Saturday morning ended up arresting a Norwood man for possession of drugs. Police said officers reportedly observed four people involved in a fist fight near Harrison and Massachusetts Avenue around 8:45 a.m. on Saturday morning. After officers broke up the fight, they identified Sean Hannon, of 389 Neponset St. in Norwood, who had an active default warrant out for his arrest from Attleboro District Court. Hannon was arrested on the outstanding warrant. During the arrest process, officers reported finding an empty box of cigarettes with 17 loose pills inside, which officers determined to be class E, B, and C drugs. Norwood Man Arrested After Leading Police Chase On 495

A 30-year-old Norwood man was arrested Monday evening after leaving the scene of an accident and failing to stop for police.

A Norwood man was arrested by Massachusetts State Police yesterday after leading a brief motor vehicle chase on Route 495, according to a release from David Procopio at the Massachusetts State Police Office of Media Relations. Joseph Fry, 30, of Norwood, was arrested by State Police and charged with multiple infractions including failure to stop for police, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and drug possession. On Monday at 5:30 p.m. the State Police barracks in Middleboro received a 911 call for a hit and run. The caller gave a description of the suspect vehicle to police and reported the car had fled along Route 24 in Bridgewater.
