Shop Locally in Norwood on Small Business Saturday

Start your holiday shopping at locally owned stores today during Small Business Saturday.

Small Business Saturday is today, Nov. 24. It is a day for everyone to support the small businesses that their community thrives on. American Express founded the day in 2010 to help small businesses get exposure during the holiday season, when they might be otherwise overlooked. With retailers buzzing around the holidays, it is important to support local small businesses that rely on their neighbors in order to continue prospering and building the local economy in Norwood. "Small Business Saturday is a great reminder to support the small businesses in your own community," Norwood Downtown Manager Kim Weineck said. "Bigger chain stores may have our constant attention with their larger advertising budgets, but it's up to us as local …

You're a class act, Charlotte. PS My son, Dan, won the Ultracentric 24 Hour Endurance Run Race in Texas (128 miles in 24 hours). He did not wear the cool Brooks hat Charles River Running sold me because his dumb father forgot to bring it with him. Warm Regards, Steve Costello   more ›

Small Business Saturday is “a day to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities,” the U.S. Small Business Administration explains on its website. American Express gets the credit for founding the shopping holiday, which got its official start on Nov. 27, 2010, according to the Small Business Saturday Facebook page. Celebrating its third …

There are many small businesses in Norwood. Some of them may be places you and your family frequent, businesses that have been in Norwood for as long as you can remember. I happen to support medi son solutions. It's a pharmacy in the Rama plaza in south Norwood. The owner Son is very pleasant and never forgets a name. Unlike the BIG CVS AND WALGREENS. And he also delivers for our elderly in the town. I bet if you go there once you will always go back. He does all the leg work for switching insurance info from one place to the other. Give him a try!!!   more ›
