PHOTOS: Patriots Beat Texans to Advance to AFC Championship Game

The New England Patriots will host the Baltimore Ravens for the second consecutive season in the AFC Championship game next Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Winner advances to Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans.

On Saturday the galaxy aligned for the AFC Championship game to return to Foxborough for a second straight season after the Baltimore Ravens upset the Denver Broncos, 38-35 in double overtime of the AFC Divisional Round. All that stood between the Patriots and a return to the AFC Championship game was a Lone Star - the Houston Texans. On Sunday, that star burned out in Foxborough as the Patriots rolled past Houston, 41-28. Now, for the fifth time in team history, the AFC Championship game will be played in Foxborough. Things to Watch at Today's Patriots-Cowboys Game

The Patriots face off against the Dallas Cowboys today at 4:15pm.

The New England Patriots are set to take on the up-and-down Dallas Cowboys this afternoon. Despite their struggles, the Cowboys look to be a tough test for this Pats team, so here are things to look out for. Will the defense continue its positive momentum? The much-maligned Patriots defense looked much better against the Jets last week. The question is, though, was that actual improvement or a reflection on the quality of their opposition? The Jets, after all, were reeling. Their gameplan was ridiculously conservative, and they did start to have success when they went to the pass late. The Cowboys present a bigger challenge. Tony Romo is talented (if mistake-prone) and he has very good receivers in Miles Austin and Dez Bryant. If the Pats …
