Last week, I talked about how different childhood was thirty years ago than it is today - how scheduled and hectic life is. The same goes for us as parents. When I was a child, my mother and her friends always had time to get together. Most days, upon dropping us at school, they would go to the Apollo restaurant, now a function hall. My younger brother was even given the nickname "Mr. Apollo," for at the age of two he was always the only male among between five and fifteen women. If they weren't at the Apollo, they could be found at the "The Mug" - The Mug and Muffin - lingering over coffee and a "grilled blueberry."
