Pet of the Week: Lulu

Each week we feature animals up for adoption from the Neponset Valley Humane Society.

Lulu is a super sweet, very affectionate, lovable and gentle cat. She is mostly white with gray patches on her head. She is about 6 or 7 years old and has spent her entire life in a tiny apartment where she lives with her human mother and feline brother. Lulu loves people. She is accustomed to having many visitors and is always eager to greet them. She has had regular visits from the grandchildren and she enjoys being around children. Her owner's health is failing and she is no longer able to care for Lulu. Sadly Lulu is overweight. This can be helped over time by regulating Lulu's food intake, feeding her small meals throughout the day and providing some space where she can exercise and play. Pet of the Week: Peter

Peter is a friendly 3-4 year old cat in need of a good home.

Peter is a very gentle, mellow, affectionate, neat cat. His foster mom says this big, strong boy is a wonderful companion who is no trouble at all. He is very lovable. He sleeps at the bottom of the bed quietly through the night. He welcomes attention when it is offered and purrs with contentment. He will cuddle in a lap if given the opportunity. He enjoys gentle interactive play. He is content to sleep or entertain himself when his foster family is busy with other things. Peter is about 3-4 years old. Peter is a pretty laid back kind of guy and could get along with a welcoming feline companion. We think he would also be very happy as the only pet because he loves people so much. Pet of the Week: Liza

Liza is a tuxedo kitty of about a year old.

Liza loves people. She is social and friendly and perfectly comfortable riding around on a shoulder. This approximately one-year-old tuxedo kitty is very sweet, cuddly and gentle. Liza is in an active foster home with children, other cats and a small dog who loves cats. She was afraid of the other pets at first but has made the adjustment and is doing well sharing the home with her foster siblings. Liza tolerates the other pets but would also be comfortable as the only pet and the center of attention in her new home. She loves to snuggle in bed with a person at night. Pet of the Week: Charlie and Tony

Two cats up for adoption this week.

Charlie and Tony are two very beautiful, gentle, lovable, happy cats. Charlie is the very cute gray and white kitty. He is a super-duper snuggler and is always eager to climb into a lap for cuddles. Tony is the beautiful tabby. He is shy with new people but very loving and absolutely devoted to his brother. Tony loves interactive play. The boys are about two years old. They have always been strictly indoor cats. They have been loved and well cared for. Due to illness their owner is no longer able to care for these nice cats.
