Police Arrest Two for Allegedly Dealing Crack Cocaine

Norwood Police and the NORPAC Task Force concluded a month-long investigation on Tuesday afternoon.

The following information is from a press release from the Norwood Police Department: On Tuesday, Nov. 20, Norwood detectives completed a month-long investigation led by Officer David Eysie, who along with other Norwood detectives and members of the Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime (NORPAC) Task Force arrested Angel Rosa, 34, from Somerville and George J. McAuley, 64, of Norwood on multiple drug charges. Both men were booked at Norwood Police Headquarters and will be arraigned at the Dedham District Court. McAuley was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine and Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substance Act, as well as being issued a civil citation for Marijuana possession. Monday, September 10 2:37 p.m. - Caller reported breaking and entering to an apartment on Nahatan St. Police filed a report. 4:04 p.m. - A caller reported suspicious activity in the area of Hill St. As the result of the ensuing police investigation, two Norwood men were placed under arrest for drug-related charges. 5:19 p.m. - Caller on Hemlock St. reported finding a used syringe and burnt spoon. Responding officer properly disposed of both. 6:00 p.m. - Caller at For Eyes on Nahatan St. reported possible shoplifting, stated a male party left the store and frames were missing from the area he was in. Norwood Police arrested two alleged drug-dealers on Friday stemming from separate local investigations.

Norwood Police arrested two alleged drug dealers on Friday in separate incidents, according to a release from the department. Carlos Alexander Baez-Pena, 29, of Randolph, and Jamahl Lewis, 33, of Norwood, are both scheduled to be arraigned in Dedham District Court today. Baez-Pena is being charged with two counts of distribution of a class B controlled substance (Cocaine), operating a motor vehicle without a license and providing a false name to a police officer. Lewis will be charged with possession of a class D controlled substance (Marijuana) with intent to distribute and operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license. Norwood Police arrested two men on Wednesday for alleged distribution of Heroin and Cocaine after conducting several undercover purchases this week, according to a police statement issued Thursday. Officer David Eysie and Detectives assigned to the Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime (NORPAC) Drug Task Force arrested 59-year-old Michael Vitiello, of Washington St. in Norwood, and 35-year-old Nelson Castro, of Jamaica Plain, for distribution of class A and B substances. The arrests were made on Dean St. just before 5 p.m. on Wednesday. Vitiello was charged with two counts of distribution of a class A (Heroin) and one count of distribution of a class B (Cocaine). A 26-year-old Waltham man was arrested by Norwood Police yesterday for allegedly dealing in three different kinds of drugs.

A 26-year-old Waltham man was arrested by Norwood Police Wednesday night for allegedly dealing in multiple drug types. At 6:25 p.m., officers investigating a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Rama Plaza on Washington St. arrested Cesar Ortiz, 26, of Waltham, on charges of possession with intent to distribute a class A substance (Heroin), possession with intent to distribute a class B substance (Cocaine), possession with intent to distribute a class B substance (Crack), three counts of drug violation near a school or park, furnishing a false name, and possession of a false registry document. Norwood Man Arrested for OUI, Heroin Possession

The 26-year-old Norwood man was arrested after police responded to a motor vehicle accident in Canton.

Canton Police arrested a 26-year-old Norwood man for drug possession and driving under the influence Friday, according to the Canton police logs. At 5:01 p.m. police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Elm Street. Arrested on scene was Ronald D. Vater, 26, of 124 Lane Drive, Norwood. Vater was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of drugs as a second offense, possession of heroin, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation. Information from the Canton Police Logs and does not indicate a conviction.

Norwood Police arrested four Pine Street residents after finding heroin and pills.

Police arrested four suspects at a Norwood residence Thursday afternoon for dealing in heroine and "several different types of pills," police spokesman Kevin Grasso said Friday. The arrests came after Norwood Police Detectives and other members of the Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime (NORPAC) Detectives Unit executed a search warrant Thursday afternoon at 32 Pine Street, in Norwood. "During the execution of this warrant, detectives found drugs and other items consistent with drug sales," Grasso said in an email.
