Norwood October Home Sales Tripled From 2010

Though year to date numbers have shown a decrease, last month's sales are up to 18 from six in 2010.

Norwood saw a large improvement in home sales in the month of October, according to data released this week. The data, compiled by real estate information firm The Warren Group, showed Norwood's October sales tripled, from six last year to 18 last month. So far this year, sales have fallen from 147 to 144. According to the data, Massachusetts saw a year-over-year jump in sales, but figures remained near record lows. In October 2011, a total of 3,189 homes were sold, up from 2,992 last year. Group CEO Timothy Warren said problems remain, despite the improvement.
