Patch announced its launch this week of the Grocery Specials section. Grocery Specials allows readers to browse local grocery coupons and weekly specials. Similar to the weekly circulars found in print newspapers by each local retailer, the Grocery Specials section has hundreds of retailers’ specials in one place. This section uses a third-party (Grocery Server) to deliver local grocery data. However, year-to-date foreclosure petitions are on the rise in both the state and Norwood, according to a new report.
Norwood had zero new foreclosure petitions in June, compared to four last June, a new report says. The town's year-to-date foreclosure petitions however total 23, up from 21 in June 2011, The Warren Group said in a recent press release. Statewide, foreclosure petitions, which start the foreclosure process in Massachusetts, "fell to the lowest level so far this year," the firm said. "A total of 1,254 petitions were recorded in June - a 29.5 percent decrease from May. Year-over-year foreclosure petitions, however, rose almost 27 percent in June, from 990 in June 2011. From January through June, 9,131 petitions to foreclose have been filed statewide, up 68.6 percent from 5,415 during the same period in 2011," the firm said. Norwood had only …

A new report shows an increase from May of last year in both deeds and completed foreclosures.
Norwood had four new foreclosure petitions in May, compared to three last May, a new report says. The town's year-to-date foreclosure petitions total 23, up from 17 in May 2011, The Warren Group said in a recent press release. Statewide, foreclosure petitions "more than doubled year-over-year - rising to 1,724 from 699 in May 2011. Petitions have surpassed the 1,000 mark every month since July," the firm reported. Norwood had two foreclosure deeds, or completed foreclosures, in May 2012 compared to zero May 2010, the firm reported, and year-to-date completed foreclosures total eight, the same as in May 2011.
