Norwood Man Faces OUI Drug Charge Following Arrest in Walpole

Incidents reported in Walpole’s police logs on April 18.

Where arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.  Thursday, April 18: 1:26 p.m. – Nathanael M. Rodriguez, 34, of Boston, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1 Walpole. Officers had to use force during the arrest, according to police logs. 7:28 p.m. – Joseph P. Hagerty, 18, of Norwood, was arrested and charged with OUI drugs following a motor vehicle stop on Pleasant Street.

Norwood Man Arrested for Distribution of Adderall in Home Depot Parking Lot

The following information is provided by the Boston Police Department, and where charges are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

Undercover Boston Police arrested a Norwood man for allegedly distributing prescription medication in the Home Depot parking lot in West Roxbury. One Nov. 7 around 4:57 p.m., Alain Barbara, of 565 Pleasant St., Norwood, was arrested and charged with distribution of a class C drug, Adderall.  Members of the Boston Police District E-5/E-18 Drug Control Unit in the Home Depot parking lot, a known place for drug transactions, according to a Boston Police report. Police saw one vehicle parked in the farthest spot from the store when there were plenty of other spots closer to the store. Two Norwood Men Nabbed for Percocet Charges in West Roxbury

The suspects met for an alleged drug deal on Edgemere Road. The following info is provided by the Boston Police and where charges are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

Two Norwood men were arrested after undercover cops allegedly observed a street level Percocet deal went down on Edgemere Road. On Sept. 27 around 6:30 p.m., Craig Marchand, of 47 Plimptom Ave., Norwood, was arrested and charged with distribution of a class B drug, percocets; and Eric Vater, of 124 Lane Drive, Norwood, was arrested and charged with possession of a class B drug, percocets. Undercover cops of the Boston Police District E-5/E-18 Drug Control Unit were conducting surveillance in the area of the Edgemere Road apartment complex. Norwood Resident Arrested by Braintree Police for Shoplifting at Plaza

A 29-year-old from Norwood was arrested on Friday, March 9, after allegedly stealing nearly $650 worth of merchandise from Macy's at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree. Nigam Kumari was charged with larceny over $250, Deputy Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement. Kumari allegedly concealed the clothing before leaving the store, loss prevention reported to the Braintree police.

UPDATE: Two Arrested and One Summonsed by NPD for Prescription Drug Trafficking

Norwood Police, working with a Massachusetts State Police drug unit, arrested two men at Bikerz Finest Motorcycle Shop on Boston-Providence Highway following a two-month investigation by several area police departments.

Norwood Police, working with a Massachusetts State Police drug unit, arrested two men at Bikerz Finest Motorcycle Shop on Boston-Providence Highway and summonsed another following a two-month investigation by several area police departments. The arrests came on Friday, Nov. 25, after a search warrant was executed on the shop that turned up evidence of prescription drug trafficking. Duxbury, Marshfield, Norwood and Quincy police also contributed to the investigation that led to the arrests of Edward P. Hartnett, 34, of Braintree, and Brian Denoncourt, 26, of Hancock, ME, according to a statement by Norwood Police. A summons was also issued for James Hughes, 60, of Duxbury, according to a statement by Braintree Deputy Chief Russell Jenkins. …

UPDATE: Norwood Youth Arrested in Occupy Boston Protests

Three arrested Saturday will be charged with disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

A Norwood youth was arrested by Boston police in an Occupy Boston protest march that took place Saturday evening, according to the police department narrative. Three were arrested in the incident, including a 21-year-old Sean Cormier of Westport, 17-year-old Jeffrey Nunes of Malden, and 17-year-old Keian Lyons of Norwood. All three will be charged with disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct. The report states that at about 5:00 p.m. Saturday, Occupy Boston protesters took part in a march through downtown Boston. Officers noticed three parties - dressed in dark clothing and wearing masks - break off from the main group and sprint down Newbury St. toward Clarendon St. The officers pursued the subjects, "in order to determine the cause …

Owner of Three Area Spas Pleads “Not Guilty” to Charges of Prostitution

Spas in Brockton, Canton and Norwood have been shut down following an investigation where employees allegedly engaged in prostitution and sold drugs. The owner of the three spas, Terry Mussari of Stoughton, was arraigned Monday at Brockton District Court.

A Stoughton woman was arraigned on Monday in connection with allegations of prostitution at her spas in Brockton, Canton and Norwood, according to the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. Terry Mussari, 45, was arraigned in Brockton District Court on one count of deriving support from prostitution. At the arraignment she pleaded not guilty and was released on $2,000 bail, according to the Attorney General’s Office. She is due back in court on Jan. 9, 2012 for a pretrial conference. Mussari owns Aria Day Spa in Brockton, Sparkle Day Spa in Canton (at the Cobb’s Corner Village Shoppes) and Spa Bellissimo in Norwood. Police filed a report. 3:46 p.m. - Police assisted detectives with the arrest of David Max Malacaria of Norwood on charges of possession of a class D narcotic with intent to distribute and carrying a dangerous weapon.
