The hottest Marathon Monday in 13 years could not deter thousands of runners and spectators.
Over 20,000 runners tackled the Boston Marathon on Monday, despite temperatures in the mid-80's over the race course. According to Boston.com, about 2,000 required medical treatment at some point during the 26.2 mile run, due to heat-related ailments.

Parents, students and citizens concerned with the current state of the school budget rallied on Norwood's Town Common Tuesday night before the start of the Board of Selectmen meeting. Previously, a large group shared their concern with the School Committee, in a three-hour public forum. For more information on the school budget and proposed cuts, check the school website here.
