About Pete
"You know, sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it."
I am a current resident of Norwood. I am 35 years old, married 7 years and have a beautiful 2 year old daughter. I moved to Norwood in October 2009 to be closer to my wife’s sister who married a Norwood native. I was attracted to Norwood by its similarities of my hometown of Pittsfield, MA. I found a great neighborhood and house and I truly love Norwood! I plan to make Norwood my home indefinitely and have no plans of leaving anytime soon!
I work for Citrix Systems, Inc. as a Principal Product Manager working on the Client Virtualization team and managing a product call XenClient. Working at Citrix for almost 7 years, I have been involved with Citrix’s cloud computing initiatives working specifically on the Citrix NetScaler, Citrix CloudBridge, the Citrix Cloud On-Boarding Solution stack and other key strategic cloud initiatives.
Starting out in IT, I worked a full time job while in college as a systems administrator for a Boys and Girls Club located in Massachusetts. Also, while in college I worked various jobs with the campus networking team. Post college, I worked for a medium size biotechnology company TKT (now Shire) as an IT systems administrator. From IT, I decided to enter the software world, joining ManageSoft (now Flexera Software) as a Pre-Sales Engineer. After almost three years with ManageSoft, I decided to move on and joined Ardence as a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer. In December of 2006, Ardence, Inc. was acquired by Citrix and during the transition I took on the role and started my career as a Product Manager.
With a diverse background in IT, desktop management, networking, virtualization, server based computing, application deployment, profile management, Microsoft Active Directory and systems administration, I brings a vast knowledge of the industry to my role as a Product Manager.
My hobbies include CrossFit, road cycling, mountain biking, carpentry, electrical work, bonsai trees and photography. Oh and did I mention, I am also proud father of a 2 year old daughter!
